‘I’m hugely excited to be collaborating with the Consone Quartet on this Barnstorming project. I’ve wanted to perform Schumann’s beautiful song cycle ‘Frauenliebe und -Leben’ for a while and working with these gifted musicians and exploring the text and music of this cycle in depth together has been a wonderful experience. This new arrangement for string quartet brings out colours and textures in the music that I’ve never heard before and I am certain audiences will enjoy hearing this familiar music in a fresh light.’ Mary Bevan
