How to get started with OnJam

Here at OnJam HQ, we want to make it as easy as possible for musicians, artists and creators to earn real revenues performing online.

We want you to experience that moment of “oh joy! There’s money coming into my bank account” soon and often. To help you on that journey, here are some instructions on how it all works.

STEP 1: Link your Stripe account to OnJam so you can receive funds.

Before you start, connect your Stripe account to your OnJam artist’s account so you can get paid. Funds will be sent directly to your bank account.

If you already have a Stripe account, open your OnJam Artist Dashboard and then click on the “Settings” tab. Select “payment settings” and then click the “enable” Stripe connect button. You’ll be directed to Stripe where you can enter your details to make the connection.

If you do not have a Stripe account, register here for free. Then you’ll follow the steps above to link your Stripe account to your OnJam account.

STEP 2: Put your tip jar link everywhere.

Tip jars give your fans and followers a really easy way to support you and your work.

Find your unique tip jar link under “tips” in your Artist Dashboard.

Put the link wherever you like: on your social media profiles or linktree, your website, your YouTube videos, your local bus stop (convert your link into a QR code)...

Even if you don’t have any shows available yet, your tip jar can be active.

STEP 3: Schedule your first online concert

With OnJam, you can sell tickets to a livestream, premiere broadcast or a video on demand.

Do you have a shiny new filmed performance created for audiences online? Congratulations! Upload your video in HD and decide when you want it to premiere.

Do you want to perform live in HD? Schedule it now.

Do you have a filmed concert on your hard drive or sitting in a dark corner of the internet? Dust it off and re-premiere it for your fans and supporters.

Do you have an iPhone or HD camera? Stream a concert to test out new work, or to revisit old favourites.

Follow our step-by-step guides on how to upload videos, schedule a show or go live with OnJam.

STEP 4: Spread the word!

Marketing and promotion is a crucial part of performing online.

Tell your family and friends about your next online show. Shout it from the rooftops! Tag us @onjamhq and we’ll share far and wide as well.

STEP 5: Keep an eye on your Artist Dashboard

Before long, you should start seeing notification when your fans start purchasing tickets or sending tips.
